01 — What We Are

Kochi.co is a city information portal for Kochi, Kerala — aggregating the city's public digital life in one place. We collect, curate, and surface publicly available social media posts, news, civic updates, culture, and community content from across the web, specifically about Kochi.

We are not a news agency, a government portal, or a social media platform. We are a city layer — a single, clean view of what Kochi is saying, doing, and building, drawn from the accounts and organisations that call this city home.

Kochi is one of India's most connected cities: a port that has traded with the world for centuries, a hub for technology and finance, home to one of the world's most significant contemporary art events, and the originating point of India's first urban Water Metro. The city's story moves fast. Kochi.co exists to keep up with it.

02 — What We Do

Kochi.co aggregates publicly available posts from social media accounts that have voluntarily made their content public. Our feed draws from Facebook, Instagram, X, and YouTube — covering the city's full range of voices: government departments, cultural institutions, businesses, transit authorities, journalists, and residents.

Content categories include:

• City News — breaking news, civic events, official announcements
• Government — Kochi Municipal Corporation, Government of Kerala, public agencies
• Transport — Water Metro, Kochi Metro, KSRTC, port and airport updates
• Culture & Arts — Kochi-Muziris Biennale, Fort Kochi, heritage, film, music
• Food & Markets — restaurants, produce, food culture, Mattancherry, Broadway
• Business — Infopark Kochi, CSEZ, Cochin Stock Exchange, commercial news
• NRI & Gulf — content for and from the Kochi diaspora in the Gulf, UK, and beyond

We also publish original content through our own social handles — civic updates, cultural highlights, and community posts written in Kochi.co's voice.

03 — Our Platforms

Kochi.co publishes original content across four social media platforms. These are the only official Kochi.co accounts.

Content published by these handles is original, owned by Gallivant Ventures LLP, and reflects Kochi.co's editorial voice. It is separate from the aggregated third-party content displayed on the portal.

04 — Our Operator

Kochi.co is operated by Gallivant Ventures LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in India and based in Kochi, Kerala.

Kochi.co is not affiliated with the Kochi Municipal Corporation, the Government of Kerala, or any government body unless expressly stated. Our use of the name "Kochi" reflects our editorial focus on the city, not any official civic authority.

05 — Our Voice

Kochi.co writes in three modes, depending on context.

• Civic — direct, factual, neutral. Used for city news, government, transport, and business. No adjectives, no enthusiasm. The facts speak.
• Curatorial — informed, warm, specific. Used for culture, food, heritage, and the arts. Like a knowledgeable local who has been here long enough to know what matters.
• Connective — personal, inclusive. Used for NRI and Gulf content, community posts, and the @kochi voice. Kochi speaks to the world; the world speaks back.

We always use "Kochi" — never "Cochin" in editorial copy (Cochin only in proper nouns: Cochin Port, Cochin Stock Exchange, Cochin Shipyard). We say "residents" or "people", not "Kochiites". We write ₹340 crore, not ₹3.4B.

We do not use the words vibrant, magical, must-see, hidden gem, paradise, or world-class. We do not use exclamation marks in civic or news context. Kochi doesn't need to be described that way. It speaks for itself.
